Little mail in the coming weeks

The editorial team is taking a break for the next few weeks. Between July 30 and August 27, we will put the news supply on a back burner. You can only expect news from us after special events.

After all, we still want to sail ourselves, because little is as inspiring for news gathering as going out to sea ourselves. Besides, experience has taught us that you soon run out of range when you’re offshore, and there’s not much time for intensive news gathering either.

Experienced readers undoubtedly remember how predecessor Wouter sometimes even during his holidays with the Egberdina managed to post news items, and may wonder why we could not do the same. The answer is simple: for Wouter, these newsletters were more than just a hobby, which he could still do even alongside his sailing trips.
Today’s editors are faced with other priorities when it comes to work and income. During the summer months, when a number of editors are still actively sailing and there should also be room for holidays, we will therefore put Windassist on hold for a few weeks.

During the coming weeks, editorial board members who have the opportunity will continue to post occasional news about special events or calamities on the website. If so, a short newsletter may also be sent out. You can expect the next full-fledged newsletter in your mailbox again on August 27.

The editors wish everyone happy summer weeks. Enjoy them and See you soon!
