New wood for Tres Hombres

It cannot have escaped visitors to the EOC Traditional Ships Exhibition: a tough job is being tackled on the Tres Hombres.

We saw new planks that being inserted in the hull of the seagoing ship. Such a big job in the water is not only a dare, but also a compliment to craftsmanship.

During a short walk around the yard, prior to the exhibition, your reporter looked through large holes into the interior of the Tres Hombres. With ‘the hole’ already closed, there is a lot of work awaiting the team, finishing and – more importantly – certification of the repair. In a future edition, we hope to have more on the state of play and plans for the coming season.
