Blue Week in Marseille on Wind Propulsion

From 7 – 10 April, Blue Week will be held in Marseille: an international conference on wind propulsion organised by the École Nationale Supérieure Maritime (ENSM). A large number of players from the wind industry will make presentations there.

ENSM announces the programme with verve:

Global shipping: running out of steam?
How wind-powered solutions, reliability and decarbonisation can build a resilient supply chain in an era of fragmented flows. Global trade is becoming fragmented, major ports and logistics hubs are congested and your supply chains are under pressure. How can you regain control?

The 14th edition of BlueWeek offers an open, independent platform to explore and shape the future: wind-powered ships, alternative routes and concrete solutions to secure your flows and turn challenges into opportunities.

The programme includes several presentations of existing and future projects, including WindCoop’s initiatives on a socially responsible cargo service between Madagascar and Marseille, Vela Transport’s on sailing cargo with a fast trimaran and a vast range of scientific studies on the application and efficiency of different sail configurations and systems.

Those wishing to participate can still register on this page.
